Putin sees Turkey's gas hub as electronic trading floor

ST. PETERSBURG, Jul 31 (PRIME) -- Russia expects a gas hub in Turkey to be an electronic trading floor rather than a huge gas storage, President Vladimir Putin said on July 29.

"Yes, the topic ]remains on the agenda, but I want it to be clear that this is not oil and not an oil storing place, this is gas, and we are talking about the establishment of an electronic trading floor, and our Turkish friends know this,” Putin said.

“We are not going to store gas there in huge collectors, this is just a convenient location to organize such a framework for electronic trade."
